There are certain truths when it comes to losing weight. Many people are looking for the quick fix or the easy answer, and the old axiom still seems to hold true, nothing in life worth having ever comes without a price. I take this one example about green tea weight loss or any other weight loss methods, there are no easy answers.
Although losing weight, exercising, and resistance training all have enumerable complexities, there are some things that can help. Obviously eating healthy food and drinking healthy drinks are part of the game plan, but which ones? Some experts say that green tea and weight loss go hand in hand, I’m not sure I always agree but I do believe there can be some benefit.
If you are on a green tea weight loss plan it is important to know how it works. Just drinking tea and expecting to miraculously lose weight may leave you frustrated. Green tea is what is known as a thermogenic, which is very similar to coffee in that it causes your metabolism to kick up a notch thus causing you to burn more calories than you may otherwise have burned. This in and of itself is not going to make that much difference, especially if you aren’t changing your eating habits.
Every little bit helps, green tea benefits weight loss if you are using it as part of a larger plan. If for example you are drinking tea instead of soda then you not only manage to cut out the soda but you have the added health benefits green tea offers. Green tea has antioxidants known as polyphenals, which help to fight cancer and reduce the effects of aging. It is the free radicals that are responsible for many cancers and many of the negative effects of aging and drinking two or more cups of green tea a day will help attack those free radicals.
There are several benefits to drinking green tea for weight loss that you will experience other than just losing weight, but don’t expect the tea to do all the work. You will still need to eat a well balanced diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables, exercise and possibly weight train to round out your program.
So what is the best green tea for weight loss? This is where I would exercise caution; there really isn’t any magic green tea extract weight loss super drink. Don’t get caught up in the marketing hype, green tea is green tea. There may be some benefit to buying organic tea but other than that, just buy a brand you trust.
